Imogen starts kindergarten tomorrow. In this past week it has been apparent to me that she is in fact still a little girl; who skips instead of walking, laugh at silly sounding words, giggles delightfully for a hug. A girl who readily believes her toys could be alive, and a girl who will spend time in imaginary spaces talking out loud narrating her tale with her toys.
I carried her to her kindergarten orientation with the painful awareness that this time will end. I don’t know when or how suddenly it ends but I do know that this girl will be replaced. Here are a few images from the last day or two of Imogen.
I love you Immy.
